About this listen

Being a defective marks me in the eyes of the Solis Fae. Wingless. Magicless. Weak.

To my kind, I’m nothing—not when strength is needed to survive the perpetual snow and ice that shrouds our northern continent in endless winter.

But I’ve persevered, living a meaningful yet simple life with my sister...until the hated Crown Prince of the Winter Court thunders into our village.

Prince Norivun’s massive black wings and potent magic cloud my senses and steal my breath. He’s beautiful yet brutal, so when he whisks me away and locks me in his castle I’m certain my death is tomorrow’s promise. Yet my end doesn’t come, not when the prince looks at me with hunger in his gaze while revealing the true reason for my abduction. Now I’m faced with an impossible choice—either join forces with the hated prince who’s robbed me of everything I love or watch our kingdom start a devastating war.

Court of Winter is book one in a four-book enemies-to-lovers fae fantasy romance that takes place in Krista Street’s Supernatural World. This series contains steamy romance, a strong female fae who refuses to bow, a morally gray prince whose brutality knows no bounds, and a deadly tangle of royal strife and intrigue. Love!

This story had me hooked right from the start. Great world building and character establishment. I loved the building relationship and tension between the main characters. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys slow burn fantasy romance

Decent story, poor pronunciation by narrator

Without spoilers, this is a good story that has common storylines with highly popular series, a little ACOTAR, a little court this cruel and lovely, a little Spark of the ever flame.
Unfortunately the narrator consistently mis pronounces words that the author uses continuously, not sure how this was allowed to pass to publication, it's very irritating.

lovely story.. very similar to The Ever King

It was difficult to get into the story with this narrator, but I persevered and got used to it. It is fast paced enough to keep you interested in the story, and it reminds me of The Ever King and the female leads ability. very similar stories... I've purchased the next book just to see if Allara makes it thru the trials...

Great narration, some repetitive lines.

The overall story is great and captured my attention quickly. Coupled with the wonderful narration, it made it an easy listen. There is a key idea that the author repeatedly mentions, to the point that I found myself becoming irritated whenever the MC would mention this fact. That aside, I would happily recommend this to someone else!

Enemies to lovers with a Great storyline

If you loved ACOTAR then I think this will interest you too! I was hooked from the get go and can't wait to see relationships develop. A little spice, but fantastic that it does not distract from the overall plot. The narrator has the perfect voice for these characters too. Highly recommend!

Enjoyable/repetitive

Trying not to spoil anything,

narrator does a great job

Mc constantly repeats what the issues are * we know and we get it *

Mc shows interest in things then acts as though they don’t want it for example the ball, asks constantly about the ball then oh no I don’t want to go blah blah completely contradicting themselves.

Other then that it’s enjoyable

Character building

Despite feeling like the storyline was inevitable, the fae characters and their lifestyle were different than what I’ve experienced before which created a feeling of newness. The tension built between the FMC and MMC is engaging without the usual smut in your face every time you start another chapter. Very enjoyable and looking forward to the rest of the series
