Publisher's Summary
An out-of-control arsonist seeking revenge. A fireman and a detective on his tail.
Count to Ten is a compulsive thriller, part of the Chicago series, by Sunday Times best seller Karen Rose.
Abandoned years ago to the foster-care system, two young brothers end up in an unimaginable hell, and when one dies, the other vows revenge on those responsible.
Chicago Fire Department veteran Reed Solliday immediately knows he needs help when an autopsy reveals that a young girl found in the wreckage of an explosion was raped and murdered before fire ripped through the house.
Determined to bury herself in work after her partner is shot, Detective Mia Mitchell understands Solliday's case will be her most challenging to date. An arsonist who has escalated in this way is rare, and they both know time to find him is running out....

Excellent!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Karen Rose is back to her old self with a fantastic story.
What other book might you compare Count to Ten to, and why?
Anything by Karen Rose except her previous book, Monster in the Closet which you could quite easily skip.
Have you listened to any of Edoardo Ballerini’s other performances? How does this one compare?
His performance was good but his female voices leave a lot to be desired. Very harsh. It's hard I guess to have the range of the outstanding vocal artists like Oliver Wyman.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Like most other Karen Rose books, it kept me guessing which is what you want.
