About this listen
I found my angel. Then I broke her wings.
Alexis should've never set foot in my world. Men like me stain girls like her. We take their innocence and tear it to shreds.
She thinks she's tough. She thinks she can handle me. But she doesn't know just how deep my darkness goes.
It was for the best that I claimed her for a night and left her behind. Anything more than that would have been cruel. I thought I'd seen the last of Alexis Wright.
So imagine my surprise two years later when the door to my office opens...and she walks in. The girl I ravaged. The girl I devoured.
Now that she's in front of me again, I have just two questions for her: First - what is she doing here? And second...what does she mean, "our baby"?
Contains mature themes.

Wouldn’t recommend
Unfortunately this book is extremely underwhelming!
The dialogue is VERY cringey and Alexis is not a very likeable or interesting main character. I feel like this story would have benefitted from professional developmental editing as the plot is lacklustre and the romance is not very believable.
Sad to say I did not finish this!

The readers A+ the story line, meh
Look it's not the worst, but the plot holes are glaring. I also dislike overanalyzing and missing dialogue. I don't think that the "mum" in this story is very believable. Not do I like the cliff hanger ending. I was over it at about chapter 3 but stayed thinking it would get better. The voice actors though a+. The story however needed more time in the editing process. Also... I want to know the ending but there is no way I am sitting through another book in this series. I am sad I paid for this.

The funeral scene and after
It’s a nice story but it’s like the photocopy of SOLD TO THE MOB story. It’s the same storyline. While reading about a mafia romance is exciting and excellerating, it’s gets boring and repetitive

Frustrating and annoying
For starters this is the worst mafia leader ever not wanting to investigate his men to find out if there the rat for fear of them thinking he was questioning their loyalty which is exactly what he should be doing. Secondly the heroine is useless. He finally admits to who he really is -which she kind of figured out- and tells her that loyalty is the most important thing to him and begs her not to betray him the way his fathers woman did. And what does she do waits till he falls asleep in the bed next to her before removing a key from around his neck so she can snoop for the second time then is shock when he’s pissed after finding out. So he locks her in her bedroom threatening her with taking there son away if she betrays him a third time. So what do she do. She runs away in the middle of a war and gets herself caught by the enemy and while tied to a chair after having her son taken and told she is gonna be killed still has the audacity to believe her betrayal of snooping was justified because the guy she claims to love was keeping things from her. HES A MOB BOSS!!!! Of course he’s keeping shit from you. You betrayed him twice with the excuse that you deserve answers and then got pissed when he gets made and locks u up so you can’t keep using his feelings for you and his son to snoop for information on him that you may use against him to write an article. Stupid selfishness woman. The whole plot is stupid the characters are even dumber and the plot twist are obvious can’t even bring myself to finish it especially since it end on a cliffhanger and the 2nd books review are saying is bad and full of more shit storyline and the characters only get worse.

Not a stand alone
This isn’t a stand alone novel, there’s a cliff hanger.
It’s all a bit angsty for me.
Also started listening to the second book and felt like going around in circles

Misogynistic stupid book
Mmc is misogynist asshole and it is justified under the name of dark romance. He physically hurts her and the only thing going in his head is that he wants to f*ck her. Wtf
