About this listen

No matter how sophisticated we try to be, the reality is that life can be challenging.

No one is perfect. I am not perfect.

Sometimes things don't go our way and sometimes they do. Sometimes we are happy and sometimes we are sad or upset. And sometimes we're just neutral.

Sometimes we are really down and sometimes we are really up!

What I've learned: one of the keys is to develop or find healthy ways to deal with life when it arrives (through all spectrums: terrible, bad, okay, neutral, good, great, and excellent).

When we are in the midst of a healthy coping skill, we can embrace joy no matter where we are on the spectrum.

Therefore, I challenge you to find a healthy coping skill: Is it community service? Is it writing? Is it poetry? Is it gardening? Is it painting? Is it working? Is it reading? Is it dancing? Is it traveling?

If any of these topics within the book apply to what you're going through, I hope that the corresponding poem will help you to cope and to feel better!
