About this listen

The Copernican view of the universe is mistaken. The Earth continues to be the center of the universe, because here there is life, and plenty of it. From the very limited exploration of our solar system, we have learned that there is no complex meaningful life. For humanity to survive in this century, we need to change the paradigm back to the Earth is the center of the universe. The nearest star system, Proxima Centuri, is at least 4.2 light years, (over 20 trillion miles) and unreachable. It would take approximately 70,000 years with present technology to get there. For all practical purposes, other star systems are out of reach. Even the planets in our solar system are so distant that with present technology, they are out of reach for human exploration. Our limited exploration of the planets in our solar system has revealed that they are uninhabitable and devoid of all life.

If we are going to survive, we need to change our perception of the universe. This is the center of creation, because here there is life. Therefore, all life is important. We must have more respect for nature. We need to think of plants and animals as our brothers and sisters. They have souls and are a huge part of creation. Plants and animals are persons. They are not people.

There is hope. We can work together to clean up the entire planet. We will protect the wild animals on land and in the oceans. We will quit burning down the rain forests, dumping garbage into the oceans and killing over 200,000 sharks each day. We will create entire new industries and millions of jobs to undo the massive environmental damage we have done over the last 150 years from industrialization, fossil fuel use, and consumerism.

The path we were on was never sustainable. The Earth is a living being. Viruses are the white blood cells, the immune system of our Earth Mother. If we act like parasites and kill animals because we can, viruses will jump from bats, chimpanzees, birds, rats, and other creatures and cause pandemics. Understanding that the Earth is alive and plants and animals are an important part of creation, we will finally realize this is the center of the universe because here there is life. This is what matters. Thus, we have to change our perception of the Earth and the plants and animals, or we will not survive. The pandemics will continue until we become extinct as a species. It is not too late. We have millions of unemployed. Cleaning up the planet is labor intensive. Space and ocean exploration is a great alternative to senseless defense spending and the human suffering created by endless wars. Working together to undo the environmental damage we have inflicted on creation, humans, plants and animals will survive.
