 Eigentlich hatte Chloe, die Besitzerin von Crossvilles einziger Buchhandlung, dem "Cookiebooks", es für eine wirklich amüsante Idee gehalten, die Eroberungsgeschichten des Frauenhelden Eric zu Papier zu bringen. Vielleicht hätte sie seinen Namen und den Namen der Stadt ändern sollen, aber dem Verlag hatte gerade die Authentizität gefallen.

Natürlich hatte sie nicht damit gerechnet, dass das Buch "Cowboys küssen nicht" ein landesweiter Bestseller werden würde. Nun muss sie die Sache ausbaden. Denn Eric ist dummerweise nicht bereit, die Angelegenheit auf sich beruhen zu lassen, sondern hat es sich in den Kopf gesetzt, die Autorin persönlich zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen. Glücklicherweise war Chloe so klug und hatte das Buch unter Pseudonym veröffentlicht. Aber Eric lässt einfach nicht locker und es stellt sich heraus, dass Cowboys doch küssen und sogar ziemlich gut...
