Se abrió la primera caja, la cual estaba compuesta de papel maché y tenía hermosos ornamentos que demostraban las riquezas del difunto, ésta caja contenía una segunda en su interior. La segunda caja fue abierta y se encontraron con una tercera, que era parecida a las antecesoras, solo que estaba compuesta de cedro. Al abrir esta última se hicieron con el cuerpo de la momia y de esta forma pudieron de una vez por todas examinarlo.
