Publisher's Summary

In the world of strength and conditioning, learning how to move others not just physically, but also psychologically and emotionally is paramount to getting the most out of them. People are the ultimate performance variable, and understanding how to effectively blend knowledge of proper training with the nuances of human behavior is integral to helping athletes achieve their ultimate goals. Unfortunately, while much attention has been given to the science of physical training, little attention has been given to the science of communication.

Conscious Coaching: The Art and Science of Building Buy-In bridges this gap. Listeners learn the foundational principles of improving relationships, enhancing engagement, and gaining the trust of athletes through targeted communication. And, every bit as important, listeners also learn concrete strategies to apply these principles in day-to-day coaching situations they will inevitably encounter.

The result is a game-changing book that has been used by professional sports teams, Fortune 500 companies, Universities, multinational coaching organizations and the United States Special Forces that sets the stage for coaches and leaders of all kinds to create a culture of success not only within sport, but also beyond. Conscious Coaching is a movement and its time has come.

Must have in your collection!

this book is a fantastic tool. I am about to listen to it again as the first time I just listened and didn't take any notes so I wasn't distracte. I am also looking at purchasing a hard copy of this book as I think it will be much easier to quickly refer back to sections.

use this book to transform the way you communicate for the better!

I have also referred it to my staff that I am mentoring as a tool as well!

great book

Great book and insights. Read it twice already and will definitely come back to it often. Voice acting was a little distracting though.

great read.

Great book. Unique insights. The best narration of any book I've listened to on Audible.

Good content .... bad accents

As an Australian we have heard many bad attempts ..... this one is up there with the worst.

The use of third persons in the reading is very distracting and diminishes the content

Great book for coaches and workplace managers.

This book avoids jargon and gets to the core of understanding different personality types and how to form a lasting connection with each of them. It also is helpful to understand colleagues in your workplace and how to foster better relationships.

100% recommended

A must read for anyone involved in working with athletes. Loved it from start to finish. The personal experiences and situations he and other coaches dealt with gave me such a good insight

I'm not a coach but...

It had some insights but overall it seemed a bit repetitive. It was too long for the material that he had to impart.
