About this listen
Aron Stone's thrilling quest comes to an epic close....
In the land of the fae, not everything is as it seems - a lesson Aron Stone must learn the hard way if he is to survive to continue his mission to destroy the Odinian king's oppressive regime. More than that, Aron must face the truth about his past and origins, which are mired in mystery and shrouded in fate. Will good conquer evil? The answer will be determined by the sword.
Disclaimer: This book has medieval cursing, sexy tavern wenches, drunken dwarves, creatures that want to eat your head off, dark-magic wielding magicians, and sexy adventures with various races including faeries, elves, and others of the author's invention. For mature listeners.

the weakest entry of the 3
Gary Furlong does an incredible job voicing many characters.
however the story has a very big pacing problem.
Aron's army from conquer was so badly battered by the plot I was genuinely surprised if the final tally was just over 300 strong. Most of the earlier support cast besides the women have been reduced to window dressing.
the fae arc was an incredibly thick padding that it felt like it should have been its own story, it put Thornprick into a deuteragonist but then cut off halfway with offscreen shenanigans.
it's is especially jaring when the next arc was done by a single chapter.
then at the finale it ended with at least 2 potholes and 3 offscreen moments of awesomeness that resolves somehow.
the first story of conquer was a real hook but the ending was empty.
