About this listen
Are you tired of feeling as though you are unable to voice your opinion? Do you wish that you had the same level of confidence in a room full of strangers as you do with a group of friends? Are you discovering that, as a woman, you are being offered significantly different levels of opportunities and inequitable remuneration when compared to men? Do you want to know how to change that?
The world has made major leaps and bounds in the area of gender equality, but we have a role to play in pushing this narrative forward. We cannot wait for the world to change. We have to play a role in changing our own world. It’s time to take back your power.
There is no doubt that, in general, highly confident females are stereotyped by society as “bossy” or argumentative, while a confident male is seen as displaying leadership qualities. Women are often raised to be agreeable and care for the needs of others over their own.
If you are no longer prepared to sit back and accept second-best as your only option, then Confidence and Assertiveness for Women is the resource for you.
Created from the perspective of a woman who found herself taking a back seat to others for far too long and decided, instead, to take control of her destiny, this book is a collection of actionable strategies for confidence-building.
Regardless of your background, as a woman, you have very likely found yourself backing down in disagreements, not voicing your opinion, and not standing up for what you believe in. Confidence and assertiveness are not magical abilities that one is born with. They are skills that can be developed and honed. You just need to understand how to develop them.
Inside Confidence and Assertiveness for Women, you will discover the secrets to:
- Actively building confidence and assertiveness as skills, regardless of personality type
- Understanding the specific challenges that women face in building confidence, and how to overcome those challenges
- Using the power of the mind and female-specific attributes to switch the paradigm and become the person you have always wanted to be
- Banishing negative thinking and wiping out its contribution to poor confidence and poor performance
- Using your natural talents and abilities as a woman to increase your presence and impact
And so much more! By addressing every conceivable situation in which you may lack confidence, we will start to create the building blocks of lasting assertiveness and self-assurance throughout the various areas of your life.
Rather than just focusing on the theory, Confidence and Assertiveness for Women also provides you with case studies based on real-life situations so that you can apply these strategies to your own life.

Nothing else comes close
I can honestly say I have never heard such a comprehensive, powerful yet easy to follow book on self esteem, confidence, assertiveness, social skills, shyness and so much more as this book.
10 out of 10 without a seconds hesitation.

Shy female..shy no more.
I have been shy (and at times socially anxious) all my life. I often lacked assertiveness and confidence but this book has, quite literally, changed my life.
Everything is laid out in a step-by-step manner which is amazing.
NOBODY is more surprised than me that the advice and methods actually worked...but really...they did.
I recommend this book to all women who need to be more confidence and strong in life.

The hype is deserved
For once, the hype about a book is actually deserved. I cannot praise this book highly enough. After I finished it, I immediately started to listen to it again and tell various friends about it. I feel stronger, more confident and happier than I ever have.

Magazine and podcasts reviews brought me here
More of this sort of thing please audible. I have had so many bad books lately I was relieved to find one packed full of actual actionable advice. The book is very modern and for the confusing times we currently live in. I enjoyed the narrators voice.

Second half is best
Entire book is great but I would say the second half is better as its more practical and has a heap of examples how you can ACTUALLY be more confident and assertive in everyday life.

I had hoped for more
Although this book was to the point and explained exactly what it set out to explain, it was not any new information or anything that really grabbed or kept my attention. However something that did grab my attention was when the author gave an example earlier in the book and although this was not the purpose of the example it unfortunately highlighted a negative relationship with food that a lot of women do deal with labelling foods as good and bad. This highlights an unhealthy way to diet and combat unhealthy relationships with food that lead to eating disorders. Although this was not the intention of the author it is an unfortunate statement that has bigger impact potentially for the audience reading.
