About this listen

Communication is the exchange of information between two or more people. This can be verbal, for example when two people converse, or it can be nonverbal, like the information we perceive through the expressions on the faces of people. A person will let you know if he/she is angry or cheerful through gestures and subtle changes.

Within nonverbal communication, physical communication is of great importance: a kiss, a handshake, or a hug transfers a lot of information. Communication can be positive, negative, effective or ineffective.

Communication in the family has a more important function than pure information. It is a two-way bridge that connects feelings between parents and children. Family communication is essential to help children develop strong self-esteem, a healthy personality, and good social relationships.
