Superman Found
Well l finally found out where Superman ended up. Is there anything this man does not know or cannot do? Every situation just seems to be a new showcase for his never ending skills. an extraordinary effort for one so young. However l did make it too the end and was reasonably satisfied.
Unfortunately the narrator sounded like he was auditioning for the job as the next narrator for Thomas the Tank engine. This book was not one of my favorites at

The Button are not correct
A couple of thing, squads, MG 42’s, Royal Artillery Privates, and Sergeant’ s in command of Squads.
This all comes down to jarring storytelling.
Bernard Cornwall said that you can put your fictional character in any historical setting as long as the buttons are correct. Well in this book they are not.
In 1940 the German Heer did not have MG42’s they used MG34 as the light/medium machine gun. The British army did not call the sub-unit of the platoon a squad. It was and still is a section and it commanded by a corporal. A sergeant is the 2IC of the platoon except when they were a Platoon Sergeant-Major or WO3. Squads and sergeants in command of them are an American thing not British. Lastly is the Artillery men calling themselves Privates. Never in a million years would a gunner call themselves private, they were and always have been Gunners. This is the Artillery rank for the basic soldier.
The last glaring error which even barely trained soldier would do was to collect German ammunition, which is 7.92 mm, to use use in a .303 British rifle. They don’t fit and never will. <be />Without knowing anything about the subject, just a bit of searching on google would have corrected these basic mistakes which could have made the story ok. Instead it’s jarring to the point of annoying.
Poor research and sloppy editing has resulted in a poor book.
