About this listen
Catherine Mae Blackston is missing. She is not the first.
While investigating Blackston’s recent activities, FBI Agent Jeremy Winter stumbles upon a string of missing persons within state parks. Unable to convince his boss that Blackston’s disappearance is anything other than a lost hiker, Winter joins forces with a local police officer to continue the search.
As the clues mount, a dark figure from Jeremy’s past emerges with an ultimatum - one that could force him out of the bureau. Afraid that his girlfriend, fellow agent Maggie Keeley, will be dragged into a high-stakes political game, he delays his decision. But as the tally of missing persons increases, Winter closes in on the unlikeliest of suspects.
The bodies are out there.
He just has to find them before his past catches up with him.

Oh seriously scary, do read it.
I had to question where I’d got to in life when I find myself enjoying this macabre story. It’s no wonder America has gun problems when family traditions are handed down and down.
Excellent narration of characters for a male voice, but mainly male characters anyway.
I just hope life is not so boring for the described “sport” to become desired…….. ever …… or there’s little hope for the human race!

AWFUL computer generated narration
No idea how good the story actually is - though the four chapters I made it through sounded promising. However, the computer generated voice was horrendous and spoiled the entire thing. I can't believe no-one else has mentioned it?? It was such a staccato voice and delivery. Awful and distracting, cold and absolutely irritating. Couldn't go past four chapters so my comment on the story may or may not reflect the true value of this novel.
