About this listen

Marissa Kline-Gonzales published the first of her 10-volume Collection of Poems in 2016. Now approaching 1,000 poems, she continues to write diverse collections, pulling from her vast experience at work, with family and relationships, personal fears, joy, and death.

Born in 1979 in Manila, Philippines, she was adopted at age nine and raised in the Pennsylvania countryside. After graduating high school in 1998 she attended Word of Life Bible Institute. At age 20, she became a flight attendant and was based in Newark, New Jersey for the next 20 years. In 2006, she married and now has two playful kids. She wrote her first book, an autobiography, Orphaned, Fostered and Adopted, in 2009. From a poor orphan to creative writer, she will inspire, entertain, and enlighten all!
