About this listen

When Brynna, the daughter of an English earl, is kidnapped and found tied to a tree in Scotland, she believes her life is over. Her father refused the ransom her abductors asked for because he felt he had too many daughters anyway. Now, Brynna has no home to return to, and knows no one in the Highlands where she was found.

Colin, the heir to the Clan McClain, finds a girl while on his walks. He quickly discovers she has been kidnapped and has nowhere to go. He immediately takes her home to his family, knowing she will need much healing after her ordeal, but he also knows he has the power to heal her.

Brynna is asked if she wants to be returned to her father or stay with the McClains to find a husband. Knowing her parents have no intention of finding her a match, she decides to remain with Clan McClain and suggests she would be willing to marry Colin, the man who found her and brought her home with him.

Married a few days later, Brynna realizes she’s in love with her husband, which she had hoped wouldn’t happen for a good long while. Will Brynna be able to get Colin to fall in love with her, or will Brynna live the rest of her life, longing for the love of her husband?
