Publisher's Summary
Army Capt. Jordan Armstrong surrendered a piece of her soul to the burning sands of Afghanistan. Now back home, only two things keep her going: her demanding job as a Search and Rescue pilot and sailing her 45-foot yacht around the coast of McKinley Point, Western Australia-alone. Plenty of women have tried to reach behind her walls, but Jordan remains aloof. When American expat Sara Matthews shows up in her life and takes an instant dislike to her, it sets her heart on fire. For the first time in what feels like forever, Jordan truly wants to be seen and understood. She desperately wants Sara to discover the real person behind the mask. And so, it begins....

Luv it.
The narrator sounds EXACTLY like Sarah Mollo-Christensen, the narrator of Alien Isolation. right??? pls, check it yourselves. My ears arent perfect, but cmon. I'm pretty sure this is the same person. From the voice, to the way she talks. Is it another alias?? why?
anyway, yeh, great story great book, its free. awesome.
edit: yay, it is her! I dont get why she has different usernames for romance novels, but, eh. I like her narration.

Inspiring audiobook for women
It was great to read a good audiobook about the relationship between two independent and gorgeous women in modern outback Australia. It was a bit annoying that they were perfect at work and at their hobbies, it would have been more realistic if the author included some character faults. All in all, an entertaining read for the modern woman!!

Happy ever after.
Loved the story and the finding one’s soulmate. Though you had me for the last 90minutes wondering if it would indeed be a HEA. And yes it is. Also great work from the narrator on accents. Found myself wondering whether they were Australian or American and had no idea.

HEA + action= best combo!
I enjoyed this audiobook. I think it was well written and I've uploaded another of Natalie's books and looking forward to listening to it too. Emma read it well but I didn't love the Aussie accent, it sounded off to me but I have heard much worse.

Inauthentic
Setting this story in Western Australia may have seemed a good idea but the author didn’t do her research. American terms and descriptions no Australian would ever utter were a constant reminder the story was out of place.
Romance stories are, by definition, formulaic. What differentiates the good from the bad are the small details which brings the reader/listener into the world the author is creating. WA cops for instance are ranked as constables or Sargent. And in that part of the world they drive Toyotas, generally Troopies. They are never lieutenants driving cruisers, only in America!
Similarly, it’s been 50 years since wind speed was measured in imperial units. Some old folk may still use it but not professional pilots and emergency personnel. Likewise the crocs habitat was all wrong.
Each reference nudging the reader/listener out of the moment.
The location although fictional seemed inauthentic, rather a possible amalgam of several locations thousands of kilometres apart.
