I wasn't expecting vampires

I was very taken aback by the sudden addition of vampires.

Also, I was expecting the book to be a continuation of the stories from the people in the World War Z book. Maybe a more in depth journey of the sweep of countries. Potentially a stronger look at what it was like in those Zones outside of the main safe zones.
