About this listen

Get ready for a turbo-charged short listen from two of the world's biggest thriller writers.

Jack Reacher and Will Trent

Twice the action
Twice the drama
Double the trouble

Will Trent is undercover at Fort Knox. His assignment: to investigate a 22-year-old murder. His suspect's name: Jack Reacher.

Jack Reacher is in Fort Knox on his own mission: to bring down a dangerous criminal ring operating at the heart of America’s military. Except now Will Trent is on the scene.

But there’s a bigger conspiracy at play - one that neither the special agent nor the ex-military cop could have anticipated. And the only option is for Jack Reacher and Will Trent to team up and play nicely. If they can....

Changed Narrator AGAIN

Stick with the same narrator. It really changes the feel of the characters when you keep changing the narrator

More please

Was a good short read but it definitely could’ve been longer. I would like to read more stories about Reacher and Trent working together or at least to find out why for this story

Terrible - just not Jack Reacher!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the majority of Lee Child's Jack Reacher Stories and I have read most of them at least twice. Lee Child is a very talented author and Jeff Harding IS Jack Reacher. If Jeff Harding was not one of the narrators, I would not have identified any aspect of it as a Jack Reacher story by Lee Child. I stayed until the end, expecting it to take a quantum leap into something worthwhile - I was rewarded with a pathetic ending - the story just stopped, really! Most disappointing,

Not appropriate as a Reacher book.

A lot of internalising by Will took up too much real estate in such a short book. Having two narrators could work if there was consistency of voice for the main characters. Instead it was turn about by chapter like the authors could not agree on one narrator.
The authors did not do justice of the story of the first 4 chapters.
Almost at the end of the book, they talk and realise there is a problem they had been sent to notice and the last 4 chapters was just the ploy to get them there. Then the book stops, no team work to solve this which is what I expected from the description, they don't know what to do, do the book stops. This Will might be flummoxed but Reacher always knows what to do.
Did the authors not want to work together so they stopped?

Not sure .....

Not sure l should have purchased - with two of my most favorite author's, l couldn't say no.

I could see Lee Childs all over the book more than Karin Slaughter - who knows might be the other way around. It was the story itself that was for me a touch weak, if ever l was going to have two of the characters associated with the authors Trent and Reacher meet then it would not have been in this manner - too shiny - very much too shiny lol - l would have preferred gritty which with the skill set those too authors have would have been doable - shame really.
