About this listen
When her surly teenage son moves back to live with ER physician Naomi Waters unexpectedly, her motherly instincts go on high alert. Nothing could've prepared her for the wave of trouble that follows him back into her life.
Sheriff Joe Morris blew his chance with Naomi a few years back when he'd moved faster than his own past allowed. At the first opportunity to get his foot back in the door, he takes it and risks everything to keep her and her son safe.
But working for a future isn't easy when you're fighting to survive your past.

not the house!!!!
these books are exciting and angsty. Mysterious, suspense-filled, and hilarious. the women are all kickass, especially Arlene, she pulls no punches in defending Naomi. I didn't know if I'd like this story but loving the previous books and Freya, of course, I gave it a go. I'm glad I did. It was different and added another twist to the plotline with Fox.
everything moves along nicely adding characters as we go and giving us insight into the next story.
Naomi's new house is to die for. great creation Freya.
The steam is still hot but different from others. Every plot, every character, and every scene is different which is simply the best.
Joe is another awesome Alpha and all the boys mesh brilliantly. although Joe does need a slap upside the head for not thinking like an equal with Naomi.
Again there are two suspense plots that, in this book, manage to mesh together cleverly. Can't get over Freya's mind.
it doesn't matter how far into the story you get the suspense and twists keep coming.
I have to fist pump though as for the first time I guessed the final loose end. it was close to the end but I got it!
The narrators are the same throughout the series and Noel's tone and inflections are just brilliant, he manages to pull the written humour to life. Tanya's voice adds strength to the heroines and her male voice works well. Honestly, I didn't take to her voice quite a few books ago but now, just love her.
