About this listen
She broke their laws. Now, he has come to punish her...
In my human settlement on the hostile plains of Dakkar, I am an outcast, a strange girl orphaned since birth, alone, and dreaming of a life I don't have. I hunt to survive, though it is forbidden, though it breaks the strict Dakkari laws that we all must follow.
When my desperate actions catch the attention of a Dakkari horde king - a cold, powerful, and merciless warrior leader, with eyes like flint and a body like steel - he seeks to punish me...and he succeeds.
But then he does the unexpected.
Instead of taking my life, he claims me as his own.
He steals me from my village and brings me back to his battle-bred horde. There, I warm his bed. I make bargains with him on starry, cold nights. I look into his grey eyes and see not a monster, but a demon king who captures my soul.
But demons have a way of never letting go...and as the cold season descends upon Dakkar, I begin to wonder if I even want him to, even when it hurts.
Claimed by the Horde King is a full-length SFR novel with an HEA. It is the second book of the Horde Kings of Dakkar series.

so much better than the first
was hoping Ms Draven wasn't going to reshape the first novel with this one and I'm happy to say that she didn't. this heroine was exactly the opposite and totally refreshing. I still find it odd that Ms Draven doesn't write in a drama that turns opinions but like in book 1 this one didn't get it either. leaves me wondering how it all goes. there was no mention of life in book 1 so I'm presuming we won't hear of these 2 in book 3. leaves me a bit open ended.
this was a slow burn love and although steamy hot scenes are still there, it's the build up that's awesome. I really liked our hero and the frustration of no communication of culture etc in book 1 is eased in this book.
Liz and Aaron are awesome...enjoyed the narration

Tribal Alien Culture meets sexy Romance: Fantastic
I can only compare this series to Warriors of Hir' series by Willow Danes. I love the tribal world building and the characters are very believable and well written. Can't wait for the next instalment.

Great Second book
We see the introduction of the MMC POV and I think this was a great move by the author. It gave the book a entire different feel and I think it was amazing. Having the male voice esp Aaron brought the story to life. I love the world building and Zoey writes such beautiful love stories.

What a rollercoaster of emotions!! Wow!! ❤💜❤
Well, I was so more captivated by book 2 than 1.
Both Seerin and Nelle are completely different characters to Arokan and Luna. You will see what I come to mean as I don't want to give too much away.
This book is not at all straight forward to the HEA! Those last 2 hours had me holding on, feeling all feels, desperate to know how it would be resolved.
I was a bit sad that Luna didn't make an appearance and while Arokan did, you gained nothing. Hoping to see more of those beloved couples further down the track.
Excited for the (Mad) Horde King Rath Drokhar (if I remember correctly) whose book comes next.
Both narrators did a good job but nothing that stood out outstanding. I was disappointed to learn that Arokan's voice had changed but that happens. Still the dual pov is good!
