Publisher's Summary

I never thought I'd be singing happy birthday to myself in a dungeon. And yet when a sinfully sexy demon crashes happy hour, that's exactly what happens. He’s known as the Lord of Chaos, he’s mistaken me for my succubus doppelgänger.

Happy birthday to me.

When he tastes my blood, he finally understands I’m mortal. And I realize we have something in common: We both crave revenge. So we make a deal: I can stay in the forbidden city to hunt for my mom's killer. In return, I’ll help him get the vengeance he craves. I just have to pose as a sexy succubus. One problem - he's my number one suspect.

And that’s increasingly hard to remember as he teaches me my role: seduction. With each heated touch I drift further into peril. And if I fall under his seductive spell, death awaits me.

"I flew through this book.... Hot demon lord - check. Action - check. Romance - check. And there's spice! If you love my books, you definitely want to read this one." (Laura Thalassa)

***THE END WAS AWESOME***

Ok it drags on a bit but it's worth it in the end.
the narrator is fantastic but would have preferred a duet narration.

Kind of gratuitous but worth the wait

Was getting a bit sick of the over the top language but the final act was pretty well paced and interested me enough to want to read the next one. Narration is very good.

Good story, average execution

Listening to this book was like watching a film with random sections cut out. While the narration of this book is fantastic, and the story is interesting and engaging, the writing itself is lacking. You'll be listening to Rowan finishing her drink in one room, and then a moment later she's in another room with another drink in her hand. One moment she's one place, and the next she's randomly in another. It's like we, as readers, are being teleported around her world and dropped into different scenes. The author really relies on the readers imagination to patch the gaps, and it's kind of irritating. Better descriptions and more context would really improve the story flow.

Great reader, accents and expression are on point! And great voice too; easy to listen to for long periods
