About this listen
Now that Nell's three sons are in work and becoming more independent, she's ready to build a new life for herself. She's been left a house in England and decides to leave Australia to start a new chapter.
On her arrival at Peppercorn Street, Nell encounters Angus Denning, a software engineer with a stately home at the end of the road. Then there's Winifred, an elderly lady who lives alone but has made friends with young single mum Janey. But life doesn't always run smoothly; Winifred is being harassed to sell her home, and Janey realises she and her daughter, Millie, are being stalked. Can the residents of Peppercorn Street find happiness?

Cinnamon Gardens
Wonderful follow-up to Peppercorn Street. Beautifully read. Such ashame it had to end. Love the stories & intermingling of lives. Hope there will be another follow-up.

Slow start but great finish
I found the story slow to start but then it became far more interesting and I found it hard to get away from listening! I love the way Anna Jacobs ties in the Australian side and the English which she does in many of her books.
I have to admit I am hooked on her novels and use audible to listen to many of her series.

Horrible Aussie accent
I usually enjoy Anna Jacobs narration but this had the worst Aussie accent based on about 5% of the population- I cringed the whole way through this. We do not all say ya, and have the nasally twang used here in general. Also ‘nong’ is not Aussie slang.. I would suggest more research before you publish - really offensive to Australians.

Cinnamon Gardens
Nice story but as an Aussie , found the Australian accents to be affectated and off putting,
I know the accent is difficult to master, maybe get an Australian....

Dreadful Australian Accents
It is a sweet story but the dreadfully rendered Australian accents made it almost impossible to listen too.
