cliffhanger
Well written - great characters both Verus and the secondary ones. I like how our mage isn't perfect and has limitations. I liked his house full of apprentices too and how he outwits a whole bunch of battle mages time and again but every time you wonder how he will manage it. This one ends with a cliffhanger so be prepared.

I am a burger
I didn't expect this story to end the Way it did. The moral dilemma Alex verus faces is very interesting.
