Publisher's Summary
Are you confused by what your cholesterol levels really say about your health? Don't you wish someone could just spell it out in simple English and tell you what, if anything, you need to do to improve your heart and overall health? That's precisely what Cholesterol Clarity is designed to do. Jimmy Moore, a prolific and highly respected health blogger and podcaster, interviewed 28 of the world's top health experts from various fields to give you the complete lowdown on cholesterol. He and his co-author, family practitioner and researcher Dr. Eric Westman, have broken down this critical information for you to know what is most important and what is not.
You won't find this kind of comprehensive, cutting-edge, expert-driven cholesterol information all in one place anywhere else. Did you know, for instance, that you don't have to eat a low-fat diet, take a statin drug, or eat more of the so-called "healthy" whole grains to get your cholesterol levels where they need to be? Learn what really works from the best experts on the subject. Cholesterol Clarity will not only tell you what your LDL, HDL, triglycerides, and other key cholesterol markers really mean, but it will arm you with what you can do nutritionally to become as optimally healthy as you can possibly be!
Featured Experts: Dr. William Davis, Dr. Ronald Krauss, Dr. Uffe Ravnskov, Dr. Robert Lustig, Dr. Duane Graveline, Dr. Jonny Bowden, Dr. Chris Masterjohn, Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, Dr. John Briffa, Dr. Thomas Dayspring, Dr. Fred Pescatore, Gary Taubes and over a dozen more!

Fantastic and insightful
I loved this book and it was one of the rare books that I couldn't stop listening to even while I was in the shower.
Well done Jimmy! You never seize to impress!

Information is empowering.
After reading this book I decided to investigate my own health further. With a family history of heart disease, years of high cholesterol and stress, I was placed in the top 5% risk category for the likelihood of a heart attack. My cardiologist prescribed me a statin but I chose not to take it. However, I asked for and paid for my own tests which all came back good and my calcium score was 0! I am not on any medication and every result was good, it pays to research and to ask for what you want. Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise, Jimmy.

Didn't know - now I have an idea.
Cholesterol has always been a mystery to me, one I have to pray I got a good report on. Now I have a better understanding of it. How to convince my GP that if need be I don't want medication, that will be testing. I will keep this in my library and play it another couple of times.

Great information, but sidebars are distracting.
Great information in this book.
However I found the sidebars very distracting.
They probably worked quite well in the print version because you could read them in the order you wanted.
In the audio version however, they constantly pop up and distract you from the main topic.
It felt like 50% of the books was sidebars, most likely not, but it did feel that way.
I have also read The Great Cholesterol Myth by Jonny Bowden and Steven Sinatra.
Personally I preferred their book over this one.
