Publisher's Summary

Stephen Fry brings the richness of these magical stories to life in the original British recordings.

'Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board and we can take you anywhere you want to go.'

Treat your ears to a performance so rich and captivating you'll imagine yourself in the halls of Hogwarts. Wherever you listen, the unmistakable voice of Stephen Fry is guaranteed to guide you ever more deeply into this magical story and transport you to the heart of the adventure.

When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...

Theme music composed by James Hannigan

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

Brilliant

Brilliantly written & stunningly narrated. My 15 yr old son is severely dyslexic & it has been really difficult to get him to read anything. Ever. Then we discovered Audible & audiobooks. Jonty had watched the Harry Potter movies growing up so decided those would be his first choice. Wow! He listened to the entire series one after another & was able to discover the subtle changes between the actual books & the movies. He listened to more books in the past year than I could ever read to him. It's given him a new sense of independence & opened up a whole other world to him. The narrators voice is quite important too. Having someone with clear diction & who is able to express the emotions & accents of the characters & Stephen Fry was just brilliant. An inspired choice for the role.
