Bravely honest
I came upon Erica Komisars work after being given a copy of Being There and found it a revelation. I chose to focus full time on the raising of my children as a result and although my children are still babies eagerly purchased this book to prepare me for their adolescence and pre adolescence phases. Komisar is not afraid to cite unpopular truths to encourage parents to protect the mental health of their children.
