About this listen
Half of America hates me, and the other half wants me dead. Regardless, I've decided to turn a new leaf.
Good guy Writer Gideon? Something like that. But with great power comes great responsibility, and with great power and killer women all around me....
Well, I don't really know a quote for that one. Point is: the Cherry Blossom Girls are changing things up. We're dressed to kill, pumped and primed, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
And sure, Mother and Angel are up to no good again, and there's the fact that the American media has painted me as a terrorist, but that's the least of our concerns.
Let me be the first to introduce you to a terrible man named Smiley....
Contains mature themes.

How to kill a great audiobook series in one blow...
How to kill a great audiobook series in one blow... change narrators after four very successful books to a guy who sounds terrible, a real shame...
I’ve really enjoyed this series up until now and first chose to listen to book one because I’ve enjoyed other Soundbooth Theater productions...
Please bring back the Soundbooth Theater team, this series will never be to same without you...

Fun series, but this new narration...
The CBG series is nonsensical, self-aware fun. Well written, well paced candyfloss for the brain. bugglegum goodness for fans of fan art and the craft of joyous writing. Perfect for long drives, workouts, or those restless late hours. Books 1-4 felt like radio dramas of old, with terrific narration.
Unfortunately, with this book the narrator changed and while the writing remains witty, the voice acting falls flat. Ok, its nowhere near as bad as the excruciatingly funny samples of rejected voice actors in book 4... but... I am struggling to get back into the series. The off kilter tone and emphasis in many places in the first chapter had me wanting to just pack it in.
I've not yet finished the book. I recognise my struggle to finish , is as much a matter of unmet expectations, since books 1-4 had stellar production.

Great story, bring back the original cast
If it's about the story and writing, it maintains the quality of the series so far. Have not listened beyond this book yet.
The new narrator is decent. But with the quality of the original cast, it makes him so subpar. You originally had real female voices. Now you have a guy making very bad drag queen voices, like in those 80s comedy movies.
Bring back the original cast.
