Publisher's Summary
A steamy, one bed, fake fiancé standalone romance from Amazon Top 50 bestselling author Jaine Diamond.
When my brother’s best friend proposes we get engaged, I’m a fool to say yes.
It’s a fake engagement, because men like Jameson Vance don’t fall in love with women like me.
He’s a gorgeous billionaire, a marketing genius and a playboy, and he’s only getting engaged to please his family.
I’m an introverted writer, just trying to start my life over, and I’d rather mingle with the rose bushes in his garden than fall in love again.
But when we share a bed, our sizzling chemistry blurs the line between fake and real. And when Jameson turns on the charm, I can’t help melting from his growly whispers of “my wife.”
When he won’t follow through on the explosive tension between us, though, I realize there’s so much more to this fake engagement than meets the eye. Because my fiancé is keeping one hell of a secret from me.
I know I’d be crazy to trust him with my heart.
But by the time I finally feel his searing touch, I know I’m already falling for his charming deception.

love this book, I hope we get books of the brothers and sister.
I love every book written. by Jane. it's a fun light listen romance, with hot rich male characters and a fun little book written in the story line as the female character is an author.
I hope we get to hear what other challenges the rest of the siblings were given.

Disappointing and probably my last Jaine Diamond book
I have listened to several of Jaines books in the Dirty series and enjoyed them, I even got in her email list and was looking forward to this. However I think this is my last one I'll listen to.
NARRATION: I have liked Lee Samuels in some other titles I've listened to. However , not in this one. Firstly he sounded too old for a 30-something. I found his female voice grated too. He also often had a raspiness like he was recovering from a cold . Then, rather than sounding sexy, he often had a demanding threatening tone, which spoilt it for me.
Lastly, when he was moving between narrating the heroines book content, and then the hero's voice, there was no break to indicate he was no longer the book character. Sorry Lee but I liked you better in others.,
Victoria Connolly was Ok
STORY: I got through the whole book but found I was often tensing and disliking it as it went on. The whole set-up of the 'game' the brothers were playing to get their inheritance and allegedly helping each other grow was bothering. The brothers seemed too accepting and unresentful for what was inconsiderate manipulation, a d the arrogance of deciding what others should suffer as they knew better what was good for them.
Mostly, my issue was with the sex (and I am used to reading sex scenes without having such a problem in many other romances).
The heroine was frequently most focused on asking for spanking or wanting various kinks or anal sex. With some sex scenes described in unnecessary detail, she seemed over focused on the more messy side of sex. The C-word was common in her book content as an author and one sex scene (not too long fortunately) was rather violent in its forcefulness. The heroine also often found it fun to be a tease when the hero was seriously trying to connect with her.
All in all, I decided I can't trust this author now as she seems to wander into areas I have no taste for and can be even a bit disturbing. I wish she'd leave these for romances described as dark from the outset so I would know which to avoid.
