About this listen
What happens when the sweetest employee learns her boss's evil secrets? This opposites-attract ice queen romance asks: Can a villain truly be redeemed?
CEO Michelle Hastings has foolishly promoted a kind, clueless activist to her full-time staff. Now, on top of fighting her inconvenient feelings, Michelle must hide the evil they do.
Eden Lawless relishes her new job, the hot boss who gives her butterflies, and her eccentric workmates who tell weird jokes about their day. Blackmail? Hacking? Doxing? Hilarious! But what if it's not a joke? Would that mean Eden has to fight the boss she's falling for?
Contains mature themes.

Worth the wait
So much to love about this story . Drama, humour ,twists and turns and a most unusual slow burn .. as for the narration… so worth the wait ! I will miss these characters .

Brilliant
I really enjoyed reading this novel, Lee Winter never disappoints, but when the audible version was released I snapped up a copy. Angela Dawe’s performance is spectacular, Ms Dawe is the premier voice actor, her range of voices is phenomenal, this is the best audible I have ever listened by far.

Fantastic
oh I loved this series. Eden and Michelle were brilliantly written. how ever the side characters were my favourites. I really didn't see that twist coming either. I won't spoil it. but highly recommend this series. Lee Winter is brillant and Angela Dawe is magnificent in her narration. I shall be re listening to this gem in the future.

I love it
Pleeeease write more of the villains series. That story had me captivated through the highs and lows even laughing allowed at the cheekiness and flirting between Michelle and Edith. Pleeeease I beg you!

Complex characters
I love the depth of the characters and how they change from one book/chapter to another. There is a slow strip tease of character development drawn out in the interplay of black and white vs shades of grey. My fave Lee Winter book. Angela Dawe did such an amazing job with the narration. What a brilliant combination.

WOW - what a way to bring in 2024!
So I took this book very very VERY slow and damn if I didn't still finish it. I never felt I knew Michelle at all in the Red Files and to me she was always peripheral to the storyline in those books. I didn't hate her, therefore. The Fixer was amazing and I am on to re-listen number 1. Winter's books have that kind of depth. The Villains series does showcase her sardonic sense of humour and a touch of world-weariness. (Shattered was the book Winter's had to write and it remains my favourite Lee Winters book.)
Chaos Agent is a classic Winter's slow burner with the classic Winter's sex scenes that should shock good, conservative Presbyterian ladies...:). I know I'll be back for seconds!

Intertwined plot
At first I thought it was clever and progressive, after a few hours i felt that reviews had over sold it.
An intertwined plot that could have been easily condensed. It became boring, however I pushed on to the end.
