Once upon a time....
These words never failed to thrill me. I was a huge fan of fairytales and adventure stories with high fantasy settings. It was why once I had a few spare bucks a month, I subscribed to Fairytale Friends and began collecting their figurines and stuffed animals. When I found myself invited to a special picnic event the company was throwing, travel included for free, I jumped at the chance, even though I was positive it would be mostly kids with their parents.
Boy, was I ever wrong. There was only a few of us, and we were all Littles! I figured their sales department had matched us up using some advertising oriented deep dive which revealed we were all single adults and the rest was a coincidence. I mean come on, it was just a fancy themed picnic, complete with fairytale characters and fairy rings with our food inside. Wasn't it? The handsome elf Daddy I'm paired with is saying something about Fate and making a bargain. Whoa!
