Not his best

I felt it lacked the usual depth. I didn't know it was abridged that was disappointing. That may have been the reason for it lacking depth.

This is Book 8 of the Eagles - I rate it 9th

Plot predictable, Lacked depth in understanding new characters. Cato's new wife just appeared and the relationship did not really develop.
