Publisher's Summary

Tuck and Ginger are two cats who get on each other's nerves. But they need to pause the claws if they’re to escape from the high-rise apartment where they are trapped. And escape they must, for their kidnappers – Rodney and Janice Burringo – are warty wicked witches who want to use Tuck and Ginger’s body parts to build the best witches’ cat in the world: a black Purrari.

Tuck, who’s a few granules short of a litter-tray, and Ginger, a cynical street fighter gone to seed, must overcome their differences and survive a list of unlikely adventures if they’re to escape alive from the beastly Burringos and their toxic gases before it’s too late.

Purrrrfect!

Would you listen to Cats on the Run again? Why?

I'm keeping Cats on the Run in my Audible library as a go to for car trips, especially with kids!

What did you like best about this story?

The story is entwined with very funny jokes.

Which character – as performed by Deborah Wiseman – was your favourite?

Deborah Wiseman captures both Tuck's scaredy-cat voice and Ginger's annoyance perfectly!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

We couldn't stop laughing at the Budapest joke.

Any additional comments?

I bought this audiobook only because I loved the real life book so much. I was a little worried that I might not like it as much as I liked the actual book. Well I was most happy to find Deborah Wiseman's reading of my favourite book to be just purrrrfect! I blame cats on the run for my inability to spell perfect without questioning whether it's perfect or purfect, which is I guess an advantage to the audiobook, hilarious spelling is no longer a problem! But my favourite thing about this audiobook is being able to share it with someone. Laugh out loud at the same time. I enjoyed listening, and laughing, to cats on the run on a recent road trip with my wife. Can't wait to do a road trip with actual kids in the car! I think this book is Purrrrfect for ages 8 upwards.
