C. Andersen til Bjarne Reuter. Han er også kendt for Pixi-samlinger som "Pixi Alfabetet" (2011) og "Pixi julekalender" (2012). Jan Mogensen modtog i 1982 Burg-Wissem prisen for sin debutbog, og har senere modtaget Kulturministeriets Illustratorpris i 1985, Kulturministeriets Initiativpræmie i 1986 og 1988, samt Fortællefantordenen i 2001.
