About this listen
The title of this audiobook, Can I See Your Hands, refers to one of the key outcomes of this audiobook - being able to tell whether or not people want to cause us harm. To put it very simply, if you can see someone's hands and they are not concealing them, holding a weapon or positioning to strike you, one's levels of trust and confidence can increase. This simple example can serve as a reminder to all of us in many of the complex moments we have to deal with, and difficult decisions we have to make, in everyday life.

Useful applicable information
A practical and useful introduction to basic concepts and practices for a wide range of situations that can help us achieve better safety and security in our lives. Nicely narrated too.

situational awareness
Great book with practical ideas, suggest to read whilst attending Krav Maga self defence. my only criticism is too many acronyms to remember, however they do help to remember important features.

Couldn’t get past section 2
Was onboard with this book until section 2. After that, the ranting about how video games and movies are conditioning us to senseless violence lost me. I am active duty military and could not disagree more. Movies, tv and video games can, in the classic hero story, teach us that violence is a big decision not to be taken lightly however sometimes if not often necessary. They can illustrate the responsibility that being capable of violence brings eg captain America or iron man. I have read many other books that give this information out well without the preaching.
Wouldn’t waste the credit …

the books seems surface level or a book full of nothing.
the book seems to skim past alot of indepth review on situations. The things spoken about in this book are things that I learnt as a young adult and mostly seems to be common sense written in an over engineered way. I am most certainly glad i did not have to pay for this book, and i feel the author needs to talk less about how good he is and more about the points of intrest.
