Publisher's Summary

To the outside observer, Luke Brenner seems to have it all. An attractive wife. Two beautiful kids. The promise of ever-growing fame and fortune as one of the country’s brightest architects. But when he bumps into an ex-teenage flame on an overseas family holiday, he realises that he has become trapped living the very life he always used to ridicule.

After that, unable to settle back down into a passionless life of habit and monotony, he collides head-on with his wife, workplace and society–something that ultimately leads him into a series of romantic and artistic adventures that will either make or break him.

A book for anyone who has ever yearned to live a more authentic life, a life of creativity and passion, The Call of the Silver Cockatoo is an inspirational call to action.

It is a book that will stay with you long after you put it down. A book that will help you rediscover the you you always wanted to express.

Perhaps a call we all need to heed.

It took me a little while to get into this, but when I did, it was wonderful. There were passages written so tenderly it brought tears to my eyes. Chapters so riveting and vivid, I felt as if I was sitting on the edge of my seat watching a movie.
I particularly liked the character arc of the main protagonist. It made for a very satisfying ending.
A most enjoyable read/listen.

Deeply meaningful, chaotic and entertaining all at the same time!

Great story, gripping relationship chaos and relatable emotional aspects of the mind explored in depth. This story makes the reader reflect on their own life choices and non choices whilst simultaneously being a story just far away enough from reality for the reader to enjoy it purely as fictional entertainment. A delightful balance of humour, drama, romance and spirituality.

9-5, two kid and a mortgage!!!

OMG! I’m not sure whether this is my life story or it’s the average citizen’s story. Do we ever stop to think whether we are living our life or someone else’s dream.
One of the best novels I have ever read. Very interesting and a easy read. Honestly I could read this many times and enjoy it every time. Highly recommend it.
