About this listen

If you play with fire...

When fire crews are called to a blaze at the home of a Kilwinnoch GP they make a grisly discovery: the charred remains of the doctor and his entire family. But is this a tragic accident or an horrific, calculated murder? DCI Duncan Bone's worst fears are confirmed when a cryptic message is found at the scene hinting at a grudge against the medical profession.

A psychopathic serial killer may be at large in his home town.

The horror of the fire threatens to re-ignite dark memories of Bone’s own near-fatal assault. And with an increasingly terrified community praying for the nightmare to end, Bone knows that if he’s to stop the flames from his past consuming him once and for all, he must do battle not just with a homicidal maniac, but with the terrors inside his own mind.

Set among the dramatic hills and glens of Scotland's Campsie Fells, Burn it all Down is the seventh book in a series of edge-of-your-seat crime mysteries that will keep you guessing right up to the nail-biting, heart-stopping climax.

Perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, J.D. Kirk, Val McDermid and Stuart MacBride.

Also available in Kindle Unlimited.

Best Bone to Date

Absolutely great story brought to life wonderfully by Steve Worsley. The banter was excellent throughout and there were several spots where I had to stop and relisten because I was laughing so much. The ongoing story thread throughout all the books is tantalising and I can’t wait for the next instalment.

Absolutely brilliant listening…

This latest story by the very special MrTG Reid, Esquire has left me simply exhausted through the relentless struggles faced by DCI Bone and his team. I felt as though l were really there with them all every step of the way, almost as if l were a part of this team. My involvement almost had me feeling everything the team was facing and dealing with…

Never before have l felt as though l was really part of the characters in a book. To feel such involvement in a story line and its characters is incredible and surely a huge testament to this very wonderful author.

It is really good to see how the characters have, and still are developing with each new story both as police officers and family members. The constantly developing of the characters and their handling of both police and family issues is so important to the
successful succession of every following book in a series and this great author never fails to present as such.

I am very saddened that DCI Bone is once again to be apart from his family due to the PTSD issues and the desperation he is facing in this very personal battle and the despair and frustration felt by his wife. I am fearful that his nemesis will never leave him alone.

The narration is of course, so very important as the narrator brings the character alive and right in the very room with us and the narrator here brings the characters to life right here in our very own sitting room.

How very fortunate l have been to have stumbled upon this wonderful author. Many thanks to the great TG Reid for providing me with the ability to cope with my terminal illness and taking me out of my own world of sorrow and pain through the love of his great books. Sir l salute you!

I have already pre booked the nest book on audible and simply cannot wait…
