About this listen
Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Buried, the fifth installment of the Department Q series by Jussi Adler-Olsen, read by Steven Pacey.
More than three years ago, a civil servant vanished after returning from a work trip to Africa. Though he's missing and presumed dead, the man's family still want answers.
It is one of the many unsolved crimes left for Department Q, Denmark's cold-case unit headed up by Detective Carl Morck.
But what Carl doesn't know is that the key to the investigation is in Copenhagen. Fifteen-year-old Marco Jameson is tough, smart, and suspicious of police. Sleeping rough and hiding in the shadows is his way of life. But what is he running from - and what does he know worth killing him for?
Please note: This book has also been published under the alternate title The Marco Effect.

Loved it!
What do I love about the Department Q Series? The characters! We learn a little more each book about the main characters: Carl (or is it Karl?), Assad and Rose. We also learn a little about camels too! Steven Pacey's narration is just so good. I want to know more about Marco too. Each book in the series gets better and better. The story line is just a by-product! It's good and convoluted enough to be interesting, but for me, the strength lies in the development of the personalities. It's easy to grow attached to them! We found ourselves laughing out loud many times! Wonderful! Can't wait for the next one 😊.

Intriguing episode
Already read this in printed form, so hesitated about buying audio version. Glad I did. The reader continues to do a great job with the different characters. Good story line, good characters and even though I half-remembered the plot, I was still kept interested. Can be read as a stand alone, but also check out rest of the series. Highly recommended.
