Publisher's Summary
Jory Harcourt doesn't have to go looking for trouble. Wherever he goes, it seems to find him - particularly when his partner, Sam Kage, is working undercover on a federal task force.
After the recession forces him to close his business, Jory goes to work as a matchmaker and event planner. From there, it's only a matter of time before his big mouth and up-front attitude make him the rope in a tug-of-war between a trust-fund baby and a drug-smuggling criminal. Then, as if that situation weren't delicate enough, Jory's undercover lover shows up working for the smuggler.
Between the men who want him and the men who just want him dead, Chicago is getting a little crowded for Jory, so on the advice of his brother, his boyfriend, and the FBI task force, he heads for Hawaii...where a serious accident threatens his quality of life. Can Sam and Jory keep the faith and prove that their relationship really is bulletproof?

bulletproof
the book is great of course. but why change the narrator ? this one just seems to be rushing through the narrative and it just spoils it.

Disappointed.
While I am a huge fan of Mary Calmes, I am not a fan of the narrator. After listening to the previous books in this series it is quite jarring to suddenly listen to a different voice. The characters' voices are very different and Sam no longer has a raspy growl which kind of ruins it for me. The narrator favors lighter voices which don't always line up with the characters' physicality. The narrator also seems to have difficulty with spoken rhythm and a lack of awareness of when to pause for effect. I don't usually post reviews but I am really disappointed with the change of narrator.

I love Sam & Jory
Jory’s career has hit bottom his Husband Sam has been undercover for 3 months, and Dain as just fired another PA.
Jory accidentally finds himself in the middle of Sam undercover case which only proves, that no good deed goes unpunished and Dain’s always right.
Another instalment and it was a fun listen, unfortunately the audio does need a good edit.
