About this listen
Nine years ago, he broke my heart and never returned. I vowed to forget him...if only I could.
When I was a child, I fell in love with a Dakkari boy. The prince of our clan. Rukkar, we called him. For he was destined to become the greatest horde king of our time.
He was Kiran of Rath Okkili. My friend. My strong, unyielding protector. His mischievous smile and golden eyes made my heart flutter and my soul sing. And just when I began to believe he returned my love...he shattered me so completely and never once looked back to see how I’d survived.
Nine years later, he’s returned.
Only, he’s not a prince anymore.
He’s a horde king. Cold and cruel. With molten eyes like sin and a body made for war.
I promised myself I’d never love him again.
He intends to make a liar out of me.
Because he not only wants my love again...he also demands me as his queen.

Gets the emotions going!😍Sets the scene for 5 & 6
I cannot put into words enough how I LOVED Maeva and Kiran's story as it was a complete rollercoaster of emotions that I felt to my core!!! Emotions such as angry, hate, devastation, you get the idea. It's the complete package.
In terms of story/plot building and plot twists, this book is setting up the scene or however you would put it for books 5 and 6. It might've been possible to skip it but personally I loved this story and the journey it took you on! Some may find it slow or boring though.
Kiran, particularly I felt did a lot of growth and so did Maeva, though some of that wasn't covered in the actual story.
It was nice to see, even if briefly Rath Kalatla, Arokan and Rath Drokka, Davik and Vienne who had her twins. You also learned brief news of Luna though there was no actual scene with her, much too my disgruntlement. I love having lead roles appear again so we find out how they are doing etc.
Looking forward to Rath Rowin's book and also finding out more about the new Vorakkar who just completed the trials.
Both narrators did a good job but nothing that stood out outstanding. I was disappointed to learn that Arokan's voice had changed but that happens. Still the dual pov is good!
