About this listen

This is a story of how I, a victim of physical, emotional, and sexual child abuse, grew to have a wonderfully beautiful life. This is a story of hope.

I grew up with an angry, manipulative, controlling, alcoholic father. When I was 11, my mother divorced him. Though we were free from our daily nightmare, we were not free from the damage he inflicted. As I have reflected on my early life, I noticed there were key moments that made all the difference for me. The moment I found hope. The moment I felt loved. The moment that I no longer felt alone. All of these moments added together and led me toward a wonderful life.

As a hurt and broken child, I never could have imagined that I would have such a beautiful life. I have been in a place where I felt hopeless and alone. Perhaps you have been as well. My greatest desire is that you will find hope for yourself as you listen to my journey.
