Critic Reviews
"Nina Sosanya's Bridget Kurtis is the unquestioned standout. Her no-nonsense, dryly comic delivery really helps to bring Dan Abnett's script to the audiobook format." (Big Comic Page)

Disapointing
I love the comic book on which this is based, but this adaption is very disappointing.
There is no scene setting which I think would lose most people if they are not familiar with the comic.
There is just no atmosphere, it feels like the actors are generally reading their lines seperatly in an empty room.
Direction is poor and there's some very hammy acting.
While the adaption has taken the dialogue fairly faithfully there has been no attempt to fill in for the visuals either with additional dialogue or sound affects. For example ther is a scene early on where a major character is killed. If I had not read the book I could not have worked out what had happened.
The incidental music is awful. Was hoping for something Baled Runner-esq but its more 80's synth pop.
I was eagerly awaiting this as the book has such depth and is so engrossing.
But this has just made me sad. It does not do justice to the incredible work of Dan Abnett or Inj Culbard.
