About this listen

The Timber Valley pack has a terrible reputation. Word is their males are dominant, kinky, and possessive - and Josephine's best friend from college is being forced to marry one? No way!

Curvy wolf shifter Josephine Southpaw's got the perfect solution. Using a magic charm, she'll disguise herself as the slender, beautiful Camille on her wedding day - while Camille hightails it out of town with the wolf she really loves. Of course, the Alpha will ditch Josephine the second he gets her back to the wedding suite and sees what his chubby bride really looks like. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, for starters, Alpha Maxwell Battle is smokin' hot. And he takes one look at Josephine and vows to never let her go - but he's going to punish her for her trickery in deliciously sexy ways. And finally, Josephine's friends keep staging well-intentioned rescue attempts, but she's no longer sure she wants to be rescued.

But Josephine's not the only one with secrets. It soon becomes very clear that Maxwell's hiding something big, a secret that puts not only Josephine's heart but her life at risk.

a must read

Great story, was disappointed to see no male Pov but it makes sense why at the end. The narrator brought life and fun to the characters and is definitely the right choice for this book.
Not as heavy BDSM or as anti-feminisim as some of the reviews made it sound.

Really Good

Josephine Southpaw meets Maxwell Battle when she uses a magical charm to pretend she is her friend to marry Max in her place to protect and help her friend. What follows is an interesting set of events with numerous people doing good and bad things all over the place and in the midst of it all Josephine and Max are falling for each other. There is some scorching hot sex in the mix of a story that kept me interested all the way. I recommend this book it was well worth the listen.

captivating

it's an incredible story from start to end.
the characters are realistic and the voice actor was as phenomenal as all her other work.
the storyline itself was an interesting twist on shifter genre and not at all cliche like other shifter books.
it will not disappoint.
thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Well worth it!

Nicely done Georgette, listened in one sitting was funny and had enough naughty wolves to make one blush… not a traditional wolf in mind speak kinda novel but fun to read with a nice twist ;) the narration was really quirky and engaging easy to listen to… only thing to add was a little more into other characters would have been good … also would LOVE to see what happens next in another story following the pack…especially with the scientist’s involved
If your looking for a relatively quick book with a decent story to have a few chuckles and not just steaming kinky bits (though there’s enough of those in there if that matters) then it’s worth it

Enjoyable listen.

Likeable characters and a good storyline not the usual predictable plot driven solely by inner monologue.

good

Good but very confused about why the author has called young or baby wolves "cubs" young wolves are pups! not cubs it was pretty frustrating.

“””timber wolf pack

The storyline has promise but I wish there was a little more substance to the world building.

Good narration.

AUDIBLE REVIEW
Good narration. Increases by one star rating.
Especially due to the amount of sex in this book. I had to wonder how the narrator kept from laughing at some points.
I must say I did enjoy listening to this story as it has been years since I read it.
Though I purchased this book in 2014 I cannot get the audible version discounted so listened though Audible Plus.
BOOK REVIEW
Okay but not the best by this author.
Started okay but just didn’t improve enough to make it enjoyable. I also wasn’t keen on this shifter world with its archaic laws and rules.
Went a bit slow in the middle and then raced at the end.
I did enjoy how this played out and glad the old brigade of Elders was replaced with hopefully a broader thinking group.
Bought read and reviewed in 2014 but original review is missing.
