About this listen
For all the thousands of books that have been written about religion, few until this one have attempted to examine it scientifically: to ask why - and how - it has shaped so many lives so strongly. Is religion a product of blind evolutionary instinct or rational choice? Is it truly the best way to live a moral life?
Ranging through biology, history, and psychology, Daniel C. Dennett charts religion’s evolution from “wild” folk belief to “domesticated” dogma. Not an antireligious creed but an unblinking look beneath the veil of orthodoxy, Breaking the Spell will be read and debated by believers and skeptics alike.

the guy who read this was too monotone and boring.
the content was good, but listening was hard because he was so boring and emotion less..
I didn't get excited to listen, and when i was listening I wanted to hear more life.. and less robot

I’ve never been disappointed with a Dennett book
This is the last book I’ve read in the New Atheist ‘Four Horsemen’ cannon (if that’s the right description). Conciliatory and reasonable, well written and thought provoking. One of those books you consume quickly, but don’t want to end.

a bit confusing
It is hard to understand what point he is trying to make. the book is a bunch of descriptions and ideas, but not very well organised, sometimes too boring
