Publisher's Summary

Tom Keeler was done with Alaska, but Alaska wasn’t done with him.

After four months working a fishing boat he’s on his way to a permanent vacation. All he wants is to get back to that girl in Seattle, but there are men following him, which doesn’t make much sense.

Jane Abrams just got to Alaska and she’s got big problems. Her son has gone missing and the police won’t help. She wants Keeler’s assistance but he’s got other plans.

But, when the people pushing Abrams around step over the line, Keeler gets both interested and curious.

They thought that owning the town gave them special privileges. But they never planned on coming up against Tom Keeler.

Breacher not Reacher

Protagonist like Reacher's cousin. Plenty of balletic violence, ingenuity and dark deeds to unravel and end.

Breacher by Jack Lively

Lively has developed a character who could be Jack Reacher’s sadistic bastard brother. Same delivery. I’m a bit picky - but if Lively could have brought this narrative together to tie off the outcomes of some of the characters in this multi layered tome I’d have felt a bit less frustrated. Hank getting a job with the captain on his boat. Something about Haagen’s return to The fiords of Norway - He’d created such descriptive Imagery of him that we deserved to know his narrative outcome.
Anyway will I be looking out for more of Lively’s work? Too right - a fabulous storyline of a bloke who’s curiosity gets him into a helluva tangle - just because he’s got nothing better to do.
9/10. Loved it. JNP

Jack Reacher’s harder brother

Well I’m happy, don’t have to bother with the watered down Jack that Andrew/ Lee Child are publishing I can have Tom instead, harder, more ruthless but just as enjoyable.

I enjoyed it but….

This is a guy that finds himself in a spot (I’m two books into the series) and his solution is to just kill everyone and leave, seemingly without repercussions. Entertaining but unrealistic.

McReacher, no pickle!

Hungry and looking for something a little different yet familar? Well, after a champion effort to get this lump of lard down the gullet it’s going back to the kitchen. What the hell was I thinking?

Reacher’s cousin

Standard Reacher-like story with lots of bad guys being dispensed with without much interest from local police it seems. Entertaining distraction on a long drive though.
