About this listen
After years of hard work, Dr. Charly McKenna finally has it all:
A prosperous career as a dermatologist? Check.
Spacious apartment overlooking Central Park? Check.
Handsome lawyer husband? Double check.
Then, one night a bullet rips through the right side of her skull and she loses everything.
As Charly struggles to recover from her brain injury, she begins to realize that the events of that fateful night are trapped in the damaged right side of her brain. Now, she must put the jigsaw pieces together to discover the identity of the man who tried to kill her...before he finishes the job he started.

GOBSMACKER OF A STORY
So well told by Megan Tusing. I'm so glad I found Freida McFadden's books. All uniquely original, and beautifully and sensitively written. This suspenseful book had me listening all through the night until the most satisfying conclusion. It's a must read.

Nice ending
A lot of her stories involve and very handsome man and a sub part female relationship. Most of the husbands are villains. I like the twists but this one is very predictable. Felt less thrilling than some of her other ones. I did enjoy the end, was nice to feel good for the female lead.

Not her usual psychological triller
I did enjoy this book but I was constantly waiting for her to get on with it. Really predictable plot and no real twists which is Freida’s trademark style. Very drawn out with an obvious and lovely ending. I did like the style changes to the Narrative of the protagonist, pre and post accident. You could definitely tell that the post trauma sentence structure was much simpler. It did actually progress, with time, as she was improving and healing. I listened to this at 1.5X and it was perfect.
