About this listen

Once in a generation a woman comes along who changes everything. Tina Fey is not that woman, but she met that woman once and acted weird around her.

Before 30 Rock, Mean Girls, and 'Sarah Palin', Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true.

At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon - from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.

Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Hilarious read

Bossypants isn’t your typical biography - it’s more like a compilation of different snippets of Tina Fey’s life. Some reviews on Goodreads say that the book came across as disjointed and I totally get what they mean.
I found that it was an enjoyable listen on my morning and afternoon commutes and enjoyed listening to different episodes of her life, instead of a full narrative from birth to current times.
Fey is a hilarious narrator and I was genuinely laughing out loud throughout the book.
Highly recommended!

entertaining AF

This was a wonderful exploration into the mind of Tina Fay and her experiences. I found her very relatable, and her performance was highly engaging. It was also really cool to hear about some of the behind the scene goings on of 30 Rock (a favourite of mine). If you're a woman, a feminist or a fan of Tina Fay I highly recommend this book.

A genuine insight into the inner workings of...

A genuine insight into the inner workings of life in show biz and life behind the scenes. Tina is genuine and vulnerable in a way that will make you think, once your side stopped aching from laughter. I loved this book and hope there is more to come.

Tina Fey does it again !

A hilariously sad view of the average day to day life of a young girl through and the perils we hav all faced , touching on adolescent ponderings and short comings and the years of the 20,30 something year old who still has no idea how to dress.
Topped with a beautiful reminder of the balance between being a mother, wife and own person.
Loved it so much I’m on the third listen.

I love Tina & this book lives up to my love & more. The gags were often so thick & fast that I was constantly rewinding to revel in them longer. HAZAAR!
