About this listen
"Cody Davis is gonna make a sinner out of me."
Yes, I know exactly who he is. The wounded soldier at the end of Willow Street. Intimidating. Devastatingly handsome. Muscular body chiseled from stone. Deep dark eyes that dare you to come near. Attitude for days. And I just became his caregiver.
Everyone warned me to stay away from him - including my father, the respected minister of our small town of Spruce. But clearly, I'm too stubborn to heed good advice, especially when Cody Davis is as frustratingly attractive - and persistent - as they come.
As the preacher's son, I have strict morals I must live by. But each day spent with that aggravating hunk makes me question them. My safe and fragile world is turning upside down, and I'm not sure I have the strength to stop it.
And even worse: I'm not sure I want to. Temptation this bad never looked so good. This soldier is gonna make a sinner out of me.
Contains mature themes.

This was a really good story with great characters in Cody and Trey and the narrators never disappoint. I love Daryl Banner books and they always make me laugh out loud as I’m walking around listening then cry at some stage so I always need a box of tissues nearby. Can’t wait to start the next one.

Fabulous narration
This series was recommended on an MM FB page and I’m so glad I saw the post. Trey & Cody are like one of this sweet and sour dishes or lollies that moreish and just work perfectly together. So many food analogies come to mind with this series, quite fitting really and so delicious. Although I normally like my books to have several plots and twists, this series delivers all the feels.

Turning a saint into a sinner for all the right reasons!
I’m just loving this series! Injured veteran Cody Davis has scared off five home nurses and the whole town of Spruce, Texas feels nervous around him. So when Cody’s mother begs Trey Arnold, nurse and preacher’s son, for help, Trey knows he’s got his work cut out for him. Trey’s relationship with his father has never been the same since he came out, no matter how pious Trey has been, so how will his father react when Trey has his first gay experiences? This enemies-to-lovers / odd-couple romance was fun and tender. I loved watching Cody push Trey’s buttons and calling him on his mixed emotions. This wasn’t preachy or sanctimonious, I could relate to Trey slowly unpicking his religious trappings as he worked to reconcile his feelings with his faith and his father’s issues. Audio narrators Sean Crisden (as the angry or cooly smooth Cody) and Chris Chambers (as the honey-voiced Trey) were brilliant as always!

God bothering
Gay romance stories are great antidote for the heteronormative bias we normally see with novels. This book at times was hard to stomach due to the American evangelical Christian elements. Definitely written for an American Christian audience. That being said it had a happy ending
