About this listen

New Paris, Ohio, has a problem: Teenage girls have disappeared. As panic spreads through the small town, Luke and Garrett, two high school seniors, escape with the well-worn routine of a fishing trip. But when their boat breaks down and the storm of the century rolls in, they're forced into a different sort of refuge: one that may cost them their lives.

A suspenseful tale of fear and perseverance.

Stand by me vibes

I loved this book! Short but captivating.
I enjoyed the two boys friendship and slowly realising the unfortunate truth of their situation.
It reminded me of ‘ Stand by me’ and the revelation that awful things happen in the world.
Watching the main character push himself past his comfort zone and explore his fears was awesome.
The very last two chapters felt rushed and could have explored some of the twists a little more.
