Probably the most under-rated book in the original PC Series
I absolutely adore this instalment of the Psy-Changeling series- it’s hands down one of my top 3 that I always seem to go back to. I ADORE Sophie. She’s gutsy yet vulnerable, flawed & well-rounded and just downright loveable. Max is also one of my absolute favourite characters in the series- unapologetically human, stubborn, tender and with a core of integrity that I love. Yet their book is probably one of the less popular ones because the two protagonists aren’t a couple we would necessarily have expected to have a book. That said, the book is a critical one to the original story arc & has flow-on effect even into the Trinity series. If you’ve skipped it in the past or forgotten their story, I would 100% recommend this as your next NS book ❤️

Excellent
This is the story of Max Shannon a cop with natural shields against the psy and Sophia Russo a Justice-Psy, cursed with the ability to retrieve memories from men and women so twisted even veteran cops keep their distance. This is an epic story of true love and those who would tear them apart but, be warned you will need to fasten your seatbelt for this one it is an edge of your seat ride right to the end. I highly recommend this audio book as it listens as I imagined the book when I read it and the rest of the series is just as good.

Love it! But what happened to the recording?
I bought this several years ago and loved it. Still love the book, but it seems like it's been re-edited or something and now the pauses between sentences are so long I can't actually listen to it. It's s bizarre. Sometimes it's bearable but then they get so long it becomes barely coherent. Can someone fix it please?
