About this listen
Seven Witches. One traitor. An army of the dead.
Brin is scarred, but no longer alone. After giving up his evil Rare Class in exchange for the simple and common Glasser, he’s finally been accepted by the people of Hammon’s Bog. But acceptance doesn't guarantee safety. Mirrors and glass spearheads offer little protection against threats both outside and within.
An army of undead is lurking in the surrounding forest, cutting them off from the rest of the world. There’s no rescue in sight, and worse, no one knows why the army is there or when it will attack. Brin's only lead? A chilling revelation: the army's movements are controlled by someone inside the town. As tension rises and time runs out, Brin must unmask the traitorous Witch hidden in plain sight before the town is engulfed in darkness.

Full of captivating characters
The characters in this book were absolutely captivating, and I found myself deeply invested in each one. What really stood out to me was the narrator's ability to infuse so much emotion into the characters, through their dialogue and interactions with one another. It truly brought them to life. This book was a remarkable experience, and I can't wait for the next one. Thank you for this wonderful book.

Amazing
One of the best LitRPG series out there. Fantastic system, characters with depth, a story that excites and some of the best performance in audible.
Number 1 on my recommendation list! Can’t wait for more books.

The witch hunt
The which witch is which mystery was so much fun to play along with, and the ultimate reveal was so well done. Looking forward to the next book.

Well done Miles English
I have a love of being lost in stories. In my time I have read many stories and I know what is good and what is bad and I know what I like and what I don’t, I like this story and this story is a good one. something I find extremely valuable and so seemingly unattainable is stakes and investment. The reader is invested in the small town life in the bog, the story has many characters and yet they each have their own stories that don’t diminish anything but rather reveal more. One example is that of weaver Tauna, the audience feels contempt for her but also sympathy and awkwardness but also maybe frustration that she keeps getting her way. Another example is the way brin feels when he goes into his friends house with all his family, his loneliness it feels so real and raw. Well done with that by the way. I feel you could have done a better job playing out lumina’s story, we basically didn’t hear from her until the very end but other than that I was very satisfied. The seige was also written excellently, there were real stakes in play, and real tactics that were smart and there were real losses. It was cool.
